21 Days of Prayer – Day 18

Pastor Mark Price Blog

Matthew 9:37-38 [NIV] Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”

Today, take time to pray for all of your church’s outreach ministries that affect your city. First and foremost, pray for the people of your church to be involved in serving the needs of your community. The needs of each community/city are unique, find out what they are and begin to meet those needs by representing Jesus as His “workers sent out into the harvest fields.” Pray for health and strength so that the leaders and staff can organize, train, equip and inspire others to serve the community. Partner with other organizations that have the same heart to affect change in the lives of those who make up your community.

Pray:

“My Father in heaven, today, I pray for all of the outreach ministries within my church. I pray for my city. Meet the needs of every person within the boundaries of my city. May my church affect lives outside of the four walls of my church’s buildings. I pray for wisdom within the leadership of my church so they can be wise in everything they do to help others who are less fortunate. I pray for laborers to go into the fields that are white with harvest. May every organization we partner with experience great growth and may all of their needs be met according to the riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Help my church to be a lighthouse to our community. Help my church to be a help to other organizations as they help others. I pray that my church has more than enough resources, both financially and physically, to meet the needs of my community. As we reach out to the community, may our community reach back into our church and find love, hope, encouragement and strength to live their lives with abundance, because it is the life Jesus promised to give them. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen!”
