Hebrews 13:17 (Message Bible) “Be responsive to your pastoral leaders. Listen to their counsel. They are alert to the condition of your lives and work under the strict supervision of God. Contribute to the joy of their leadership, not its drudgery. Why would you want to make things harder for them?” The Bible instructs us to pray for the leaders of our church and to lessen the load of ministry by following their lead as they follow Christ.

Today, take time to pray for the Senior Pastors of your church. Pray for their marriage to be strong and healthy. Pray for them to be healthy in spirit, soul and body. Pray for them to be protected from harm. Speak life over them and bless them. Pray over their children to be protected and blessed. Pray that they have the heart of the Father and convey His heart to the people they steward. Believe the best about them and defend them from gossip, lies and words of accusation.

“My Father in heaven, today, I pray for the Senior Pastors of my church. I pray they will be shepherds after God’s own heart and lead our church with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I pray that my pastors will preach the uncompromising Word of God. I pray they will correct, rebuke and encourage my church with great patience and careful instruction. My pastors will prepare God’s people, my church, for the works of service so that the Body of Christ may be built up. I thank You that my pastors are eager to serve our church and are righteous examples to the flock of God. I pray that they are prosperous spiritually, physically, financially, emotionally, socially, mentally and morally. I thank You for the Senior Pastors of my church. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen!”
