21 Days of Prayer – Day 8

Pastor Mark Price Blog

Proverbs 11:11 states, “Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.” According to Scripture, when we speak, we have the power of life and death. It is so very important to bless our city with our words and not curse our city with our words.

Today, take the time to pray for your city. Go to your city’s website and begin to pray for the different departments and the department heads. Pray for your city to be exalted because of righteousness and the influence of the Church. Pray for people to have good jobs and for unemployment to be at an all-time low. Speak life over situations, businesses and schools that are embattled with disturbing, immoral or unethical behavior. Pray for new businesses to come to your city. Thank the Lord for allowing you to be a part of the solution to your city’s present and future challenges.

Pray:

“My Father in heaven, today, I pray for my city. I pray for supernatural insight into the life of my city so that I can pray more effectively. I pray for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in my city. May righteousness exalt my city. I thank You for the great potential that lies within the boundaries of my city. My city is a light and beacon to its citizens. Thank You that my city is full of wise men and women who turn away anger. My city is beautiful! My city is strong! My city is blessed! My city is Your city! Amen!”
